Salient Consultants New Zealand was established to provide independent expert professional consulting services in the field of Intelligent Transportation Solutions.
Our services are broad ranging and include asset management, contract management, technical support in the field, inter-asset discipline and Subject Matter Expert services.
Salient Consultants director Dean Parker has been been engaged in the field of Intelligent Transportation Technology since 2005 and has gained significant industry expertise from a technical understanding of the technology and application to asset management, project delivery, project management and procurement.
Dean has presented at conferences across the globe and is recognised internationally as a subject matter expert in ITS asset management, ITS asset data and for his broad ranging knowledge.
In 2017 Salient Consultants director Dean Parker was honoured to be the recipient of the IPENZ 3M Traffic Safety Innovation Award for the Penrose Over Height Detection System in Auckland.
The project was developed over several years and was delivered by the Auckland Motorway Alliance and included significant works to address human factors, and the development of a new standard for Variable Message Signs, much of which has now been integrated into the new NZTA standard.
